I am proud of myself because...

After 13 years, I quit my job and went back to school; and I am the mother of two children. I also have a granddaughter who is a doctor.

I found out about the Adult Education Center from a girlfriend that graduated from the school, Lorraine Brown.  I was not sure I was going to be accepted because I did not have a high school diploma. I got my GED at night before the class ended.  

I remember Mr. Coleman and Dutch Morial visiting the school. I have them to thank, as well as the other businessmen, for me and others to have a career for many years.  I am thankful for the 22 years that I worked for Shell Oil Company.
