The 431 Exchange

This is the true story of the 431 Cinderellas of the Adult Education Center who, with the help of their fairy godmother, Dr. Alice Geoffray, and friends, overcame discrimination, poverty, and self-doubts, to become the first black women secretaries to integrate the multinational corporations and local businesses of the city of New Orleans from 1965 to 1972 and, in so doing, opened the doors for others throughout the Deep South and beyond, who would seek a better quality of life through adult education and hard work.
